Discover a bonanza of recreational opportunities at this alpine lake (elev. 4500 ft.) high above the southern Rogue Valley.

With 1.63 miles of lake frontage, this is a popular destination for boating, sailing, and fishing at the "Best trout fishery in Southern Oregon".

The 155 acres offer a surprising 167 tent sites with 185 trailer hookups. Showers and camp-trailer rentals are available.

For hiking, the Pacific Crest Trail is easily accessible
from this beautiful retreat.

Howard Prairie’s many recreational activities include fishing, hiking, horseback riding and camping. Oregon Fish and Wildlife stocks the lake with 100,000 trout each year.

Boat launch facilities are available at Klum Landing, Willow Point, and Grizzly

Group camp facilities are available at
Sugar Pine, Lily Glen and Grizzly.

Howard Prairie Resort offers a restaurant, store, marina and boat rentals.
