Howard Prairie Lake
Recreational Area

Discover a bonanza of recreational opportunities at this alpine lake high above the southern Rogue Valley. The Howard Prairie Lake Recreational Areas consists of seven separate well maintained parks:

  • Lily glen equestrian park
  • Grizzly campground/boat ramp
  • Howard Prairie Resort and marina
  • Willow Point campground and boat ramp
  • Apserkaha Organizational Camp
  • Sugar Pine group camp
  • Klum Landing campground and boat ramp

WILLOW POINT BOAT LAUNCH IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED

The newly constructed Willow Point boat ramp is not accessible at this time due to the short ramp length and the lower water levels, but the campground is open to the public. The County has received Oregon State Marine Board and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife grants to extend the boat ramp. Construction on this extension is scheduled to begin this summer. Boaters are encouraged to use Howard Prairie's three other boat ramps at Grizzly, Klum Landing, or Howard Prairie Resort.
